Kenny has over 21 years of experience in geotechnical laboratory services and construction quality assurance and construction materials testing. His geotechnical laboratory experience includes soil classification testing including Atterburg Limit, Moisture Content, Wash 200, Sieve Analysis, and Proctors (Standard and Modified). Construction quality assurance experience includes the monitoring of numerous controlled fills and undercuts, placement and compaction of structural fill and backfill including utilities (storm, sewer, gas, water) and foundation walls. Kenny is experienced in the observation of reinforcing steel placement for concrete construction, and knowledgeable of field and laboratory testing of fresh concrete and grout including slump, entrained air, ambient and concrete temperature and casting of compressive and flexural strength test specimens. He has experience in laboratory and field curing and compression testing of concrete specimens. Additionally, Ken has performed structural steel observation including visual weld, column plumb and bolt observation for single and multi-story structures.
