Eternal Technologies
Chesterfield County, Virginia

McKinney and Company provided full service design and construction management for this 70,000 SF, $20 million manufacturing facility for Eternal Technology Corporation (ETC). The facility includes offices, laboratories, clean rooms, a central plant and manufacturing and distribution space.

The Land Planning Department of McKinney and Company worked closely with Chesterfield County and the VEDP to ensure that ETC selected a Virginia location suitable for their needs and qualified for the incentives offered through an Enterprise Zone. Full service capabilities within the firm allowed for a highly integrated delivery of services, from site selection/due diligence, environmental, civil and land planning, to engineering, architecture, interior design and construction management.

The need for clean rooms in the ETC manufacturing processes and the highly technical nature of their finished product created a challenge for the McKinney and Company mechanical and electrical design staff. The project included a full-scale laboratory for printed circuit board inspection and quality control. The facility includes a 26,000 SF Class 10,000 cleanroom and a Class 100 coating room.

McKinney and Company recently designed and constructed a $2.0 million expansion to ETC’s chemical mixing facilities. This included the expan-sion of existing high hazard H-2 space where flammable chemicals are stored and processed. This addition allowed ETC to offer a wider variety of products to their customers.
