Eastport VIII is a 129,660 S.F. industrial facility located in the Eastport Industrial Park in Henrico County, Virginia. Liberty Property Trust is the owner, developer and leasing agent for the property. McKinney and Company provided the civil engineering services for the site including site layout and design. The project included a 138 space parking lot, associated storm water management and utilities design, landscape and lighting design. The POD was approved in May of 2014 and construction is currently underway. Site construction is expected to be completed later this year.

As the last remaining parcel to be developed in the Eastport Industrial Park, the site presented several design challenges early on that needed to be addressed to make the project feasible for the Client. Portions of the site were within the County Regulated 100 year floodplain. McKinney and Company provided the Client with extensive flood plain analysis and worked with the Client to develop a site plan which optimized the building square footage in order to meet their needs.

McKinney and Company prepared the Plan of Development documents and was the point of contact with Henrico County during the POD review process.
