The DFS/OCME headquarters for northern Virginia is a dual agency, 112,000 SF, 2 story building recently constructed in Prince William County’s Innovation Park. The two agency wings are separated by a joint use core and cafeteria; central access to each ensure maximum security for each separate function. The laboratory features include: toxicology lab, DNA lab, questionable documents lab, firearms lab, breath alcohol level training lab, histology lab, decomp autopsy anthro lab, main autopsy, forensic biology lab, and controlled substance lab. The first Bio Safety Level (BSL) 3 Autopsy Lab in the United States is included in the laboratory.
